Južni Velebit, Velika Paklenica
Treći vikend Velebitove škole u Paklenici. I zapravo tek prvi pošteni izlet, a svi već prilično dobro uhodani i upenjani. U subotu sam s Darijem penjao neke trad varijante Ranozorećeg dok su nam društvo radili Gruba i njegova tečajka Ana u Josipa Debeljaka. Činilo se da smo dobro postupili čekajući da prve tri kiše prođu, no oprala nas je četvrta, ona najjača. :)

Kalnik s ekipom, trening pred ljeto. Mada nisam načeo nijedan projekt, za trening je dobro došlo makar popeti i nešto već poznato od prije. Pali su Rambo, Štore, John Deere, Apaches i Frenky.

Škola u Paklenici – dan drugi. U nedjelju me dopao Toni. Valjda sam se zamjerio vođi izleta kad mi je dao tečajca koji Ča je od Draga je od Draga i Centralni kamin sredi za ukupno 2 i pol sata penjanja, :) fino. Ne stigneš se osvrnut i 300 metara je iza tebe.

Škola u Paklenici – dan prvi. U subotu sam s Igorom penjao Sjeverni greben i Bijelu rampu. Po putu smo se našli s Vedranom i Antom, pa se i podružili na silazu. Navečer tradicionalno krštenje za prve duge smjerove i opaki roštilj kod Peke.

Day 7 with Kirsten, our last day and a day before my wedding. :) All that rain during the last days didn't left too much dry rock on Anića kuk and we wanted to climb something on Anića kuk. We settled for a south-facing route on Stup Anića kuka – Danaja (F5b). Not a typical Anića kuk route but still a fine climb to finish our small rock trip. Well, until next time...

Who ordered more rain showers? So we climbed some more as soon as a patch of dry rock appeared. Our dry patch of the day was Flex & Rex at F5a.

So what about climbing between rain showers? Well, if you're confident about the forecast, why not? After the third shower that day we went up and climbed a very nice 150 m F5c – Spit Bull. A south-facing climb we otherwise couldn't have climbed because of the usual summer heat. It started raining again just as we started to descend. :)

By the fourth day the sharp rock was taking its toll on the fingers. That's Paklenica for you. :) So the grades had to go down a bit. We climbed a classic F5b in Stup Debelog kuka – Zgrešeni and a nice F5a in Kukovi ispod Vlake – Lidijin.

After a rest day we decided to go for something more difficult. First a real classic – Celjski stup. Only F5a in the guidebook but a hard one by any standard. Then we raised the grade and climbed Kikos bohrer with one of the most beautiful F6a pitches I've done in Paklenica.

Ča je od Draga je od Draga was a nice choice for a slightly harder route – 120 m at F5b. After this one we were too late to catch Prijatelju moj while it was still in shade. We climbed it anyway and it wasn't too bad after all.
