On the second day it was time to apply the new dancing moves on something big. Since Slovenia was one giant avalanche zone, we went to Maltatal. We climbed Mittlerer Maralmfall (2) – a 220 meters high ice wall at WI4+. Fantastic ice conditions and a finishing vertical ice-curtain on the last pitch! We abseiled down using trees and Abalakov anchors that we made ourselves. Getting confident with these takes some guts, right Kirsten? :)
