Južni Velebit, Velika Paklenica

Tour the Paklenica with Kirsten. Now, if there was only one route a visiting climber could climb in Paklenica, which route would it be? Mosoraški of course. :) It's THE route to do in Anića kuk for anyone visiting Paklenica. We climbed it in style – no fear, no crowds, no hurry, just 350 m of excellent rock and us two flies counting pitches behind us.

The last of the easier moves... View from the lower part of the route. Bolts are sparse on most pitches. With no bolt ladder to follow it is common for climbers to stray off route. Kirsten joining me at the belay below pitch 5.
On the traverse of pitch 7. Kirsten loves traverses. Kirsten on the belay below the crux pitch. Looking up at the begining of the polished crack of the crux pitch. The crux pitch is the only well protected one.
But the pictures make it look easier than it really is. Kirsten fighting, one awkward move after another. Kirsten arrives at the belay below finishing two pitches. Almost done, just a few more moves... Kirsten topping out on Anića kuk after finishing the Mosoraški route in 4 and a half hours. Not bad!
