In Croatia there is a small number of climbing clubs under the Croatian Mountaineering Association that organize annual summer climbing schools. The CMA educational system recognizes 4 separate levels of proficiency in climbing:
1) junior trainee
2) senior trainee
3) an alpinist
4) an instructor.
The summer schools are the first stage. During the 2 months of intense training we focus on multi-pitch rock climbing, most of which take place right here in Paklenica. For the winter skills such as ice climbing, ski mountaineering and alpine climbing in general we take a more individual approach.
